| Located in downtown Vientiane, Wat Sisaket is today a museum containing some of Southeast Asia's most eloquent Buddha statues. First constructed about 1810, the temple contains statues dating from the fifteenth century. The temple was most recently restored in 1935. It rather desperately needs another restoration. However, the old building with the holes in the roof, the mold, and general disorder, has its own charm. |
